Greetings,

March will be a busy month at SunRaven. The Mindful Gardening Project has just gotten underway and there are some very "spring minded" activities planned as well.

Please read on and consider joining us for one of the upcoming events.

We hope to see you soon,

The Findhorn Garden, Pioneering a New Vision of Humanity and Nature in Cooperation, is both a tale and an extraordinary story of cooperation between human beings and nature. To some it seems like a fantasy, and to others a mystery. Even still, the story is a true one and described in this book , written by the original founders of Findhorn.

For us, reading these accounts of the "miracle at Findhorn" provides an inspiration to see our paths in life come together along with all other aspects of nature.

As the founders of Findhorn describe, "one radiant energy pervades and gives rise to all life. While it may speak to us through plants, nature spirits or the human beings with whom we share life on this planet, all are reflections of the deeper reality behind and within them. Myth has become reality in the Findhorn garden, not to present us with a new form of spiritualism, but to offer us a new vision of life, a vision of unity. Essentially, the devas and nature spirits are aspects of our own selves, guiding us toward our true identity, the divine reality within. The sotry of the garden is the celebration of this divine life in its myriad forms. May the joy we expreience in participating in this celebration deepen our commitment to revealing the total beauty of ourselves and all life around us."

Please join us then to discuss this understanding and wisdom.

All are welcome!

Introduction to Fasting and Detoxification

Friday March 28th 6:00-7:30 PM
or
Thursday April 3rd 7:00-8:30PM

Over the last several years many people have asked me questions about various fasting protocols and the merits of detoxification. In preparation for our fourth organized SunRaven Group Fast, I invite you to join us for an introductory discussion on these topics.

During the evening, I will discuss the principles of detoxification and offer some specific recommendation about fasts. I will also demonstrate the preparation of "green juice" and prepare you to begin your own program.

For those who would consider participating in the fourth SunRaven Group Fast (which will begin on Friday May 2nd), this would be an excellent introduction.

The seminars will be held on the two dates listed...it is not necessary to attend more than one. The fee for the evening will be $25 which will include a glass of deliciously nutritious freshly made "green" vegetable juice. Please RSVP to juicefast@sunraven.org

SunRaven Group Juice Fast

Spring 2008
If you have been thinking about undertaking a true "cleanse" or detox, a green juice fast along with a comprehensive protocol developed by one of the leading experts in the field can be an extremely valuable experience.

The SunRaven Juice Fast is unique in that it offers the support from a group of participants who share this interest and live in the same community.

The fast program will begin Friday May 2nd and continue through Saturday May 10th. Introductory meetings are described above and will be held on two dates later this month and in early April. These meetings will address the aspects of cleansing and detoxification that each of us should know, as well as cover the details of the Group Fast. If you are interested in participating in the juice fast for the first time it is required that you attend one of these two meetings.

Integrative Medicine is both prevention and healing oriented. It incorporates modalities that focus on the mind and spirit as well as those that are more conventionally rooted in the biological sciences. Integrative Medicine is finding its place with those whose minds are open while remaining grounded in credible practices.

SunRaven was created as a space to hold this intention: that individuals and our society as a whole will learn and move forward in their evolution - to achieve a state of peace, tranquility, harmony and balance that comes from the collective wisdom of our great teachers
